Reclaim the Public Treasure, Ugly Duck, Bermondsey, July 2018.
As part of Designed Howlings show and Ugly Duck's Art and (H)activism season: an installation of 12 large fabric banners as calls to action with texts inspired by the aspirations for a more equitable society, from the Levellers of C17 to recent analyses of Hannah Arendt, Guy Standing's Precariat's Charter, George Monbiot, and including symbols of resistance which represent a vital public treasure: the skills and qualities of the community. The precarious sand stencilled patterns of council estates to mark both the aspirations of decent homes for all, and the rise and fall of one public treasure.
